Our ED on Global TV

Check out this coverage of our sage grouse win, including an interview with our Executive Director Devon Page.

This piece does a great job of explaining the weaknesses in our federal Species at Risk Act, particularly the Canadian government's refusal to admit that the hundreds of plants, animals and aquatic species recognized as 'at risk' need homes that will support existing and (hopefully) future generations.

This was a landmark win that will have implications for all of Canada's imperiled species. And it offers a valuable lesson to the feds – that this species-by-species hammering they’re taking could easily be solved with some meaningful recognition of critical habitat.
